Blandy’s sell part of their Travel Agency business
in Mainland Portugal |

The Blandy Travel Agency, (Agência de Viagens Blandy, Lda) having operated for decades solely in Madeira, extended its operation to mainland Portugal in 2003, through its branches in Lisbon and Faro. Since then the volume of business at these branches has grown steadily.
Following an acquisition proposal by our Divisional Director, Dr. Luís Monteiro d’Aguiar and our Mainland Portugal incoming Director Dr.Rui Alexandre dos Reis Taipas Calapez, the Blandy Group informs that the sale of shares of Eurocongressos Lda, as well as the transfer of the Incoming and Mice businesses of the Blandy Travel Agency in Lisbon and Faro to Buzzpath, Agência de Viagens, Lda was completed on the on the 1st of June of 2008.
Buzzpath Lda, is 100% controlled by Dr. Luís Monteiro d’Aguiar and Dr. Rui Alexandre dos Reis Taipas Calapez and both these individuals as well as the remaining employees relating to the activities sold have ceased to have any direct link to the Blandy Group.
Buzzpath, Agência de Viagens, Lda, has it’s headquarters at Av. Elias Garcia, 147, 5º Esq, 1050-099 Lisbon and will trade as Buzz, Portugal Destination Management.
The Blandy Travel Agency, (Agência de Viagens Blandy, Lda) maintains total ownership of its business activities in Madeira, its new Web based platform, and the Shorex business (Madeira and Mainland Portugal), and continues to provide these services in Madeira and Mainland Portugal.
Although independent enterprises, the Blandy Travel agency and Buzzpath intend to maintain a good working relationship for the future, maximizing the cooperation between the two businesses.
