Blandy aquires 100% capital of Eurocongressos |

Blandys has aquired 100% of Eurocongressos the Leading M.I.C.E (Meetings, Incentives, Congresses and Events) organisation in Portugal, based in Lisbon.
Luís Monteiro d'Aguiar the Director of Blandy SGPS responsible for the Tourism Division, commented in a interview, that Lisbon is in the top 5% locations for M.I.C.E and this aquisition further consolidates the groups' intentions to strengthen their position in mainland Portugal.
Eurocongressos was set up in 1996 by Luís Frey Monteiro, who is a reference in this market and has many years of experience. The company is responsible for 80% of the Medical and Pharmaceutical congresses that take place in Portugal as well as some institutional congresses. The company will be run under the same leadership and its core team and has as its main objective to increase their market share by working with the sports industry.
