Inspira Sta. Marta in Lisbon opens in 2009.

Inspira, a joint-venture established in 2006 between the Blandy Group and the holding company belonging to the Osório de Castro family, is making its mark in Portugal with two four star hotel developments. The chain's first hotel – the 90-room Inspira Santa Marta Hotel located parallel to Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon – is under construction and scheduled to open in mid 2009.

The second hotel – Inspira Flores Hotel with 60 rooms – is in Porto and currently awaits licensing. This project is also based on urban redevelopment and reconstruction, involving the conversion of a small palace located in the heart of the city.
The partnership between the Madeira-based Blandy Group, which has extensive experience in the tourism sector, and Investoc, the holding company belonging to the Osório de Castro family whose purpose is the promotion and development of real estate projects, gave rise to Inspira SGPS and also Inspira Gestão Hoteleira, a new company designed to manage hotels belonging to the group and to third parties.
Created in 2006 but with firm foundations based on know-how in various areas of expertise, Inspira Gestão Hoteleira is well equipped to create a solid base in the Portuguese market before branching out to become a key player on the Iberian Peninsular.
The group´s main objectives are to develop its portfolio of hotels and to manage medium size city hotels in the 3 and 4 star categories.

Based in Madeira and with business interests in diverse areas ranging from a travel agency, media and wine, the Blandy Group [www.blandy.com] also has a long tradition of investment in the hotel sector with special mention going to Reid's Hotel Madeira, Country House Hotels in the United Kingdom and the Porto Bay Group.
Investoc, SGPS, S.A. [www.investoc.pt], the holding company set up by the Osório de Castro family following the sale of the Hagen Group, invests in two main business areas: the promotion and development of real estate projects and the hotel sector.
