BLANDY’S BICENTENNIAL TASTINGS IN LONDON A GREAT SUCCESS
The bicentennial Blandy family tasting in London was held at the Andaz Liverpool Street on the 9th of June.

200 Years Celebrations of the establishment of Blandy's Madeira Wine in Madeira since 1811

The tasting was presented by Michael Blandy (Chair), Chris Blandy (Director), Francisco Albuquerque (winemaker) and Richard Mayson (Port & Madeira specialist).

Richard Mayson summed the tasting up best, “I previously billed this as a ‘tasting of a lifetime’ and so it turned out. Never again will these rare Vintage Madeira wines be tasted together and it is likely that I will never see some of them again”

The wines tasted were:

Blandy’s Terrantez 1976 (bottled 2002)
