B Corp Certified - Madeira Wine Company
The Madeira Wine Company’s sustainability journey commenced in March 2020, leading to its initial B Corp certification in December 2022. This commitment was further solidified in 2026 through a successful recertification, affirming the company’s continued adherence to the rigorous social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability standards established by B Lab.
As a generational enterprise, the Madeira Wine Company utilizes this framework to ensure that the business, its stakeholders, and the environment are preserved for future generations.

“The Travelife Certified award is a recognition of our excellence towards social and environmental sustainability. We comply with more than 200 criteria related to sustainability management, office operations, working with suppliers and customer communication.”
“Travelife is a three-stage certification program for tour operators and travel agents: (1) Travelife Engaged; (2) Travelife Partner; and (3) Travelife Certified. We are at the final stage – Travelife Certified.”
On the 26th of February 2026, the agency was awarded with the Travelife Certified standard for tour operators. The Travelife standard is covering the ISO 26000 Corporate Social Responsibility themes, including environment, biodiversity, human rights and labour relations; and is in full compliance with the UN.
